I’m proud to be joining @Mastodon’s Board of Directors to guide and support this important platform.

I believe that #Mastodon and the #Fediverse represent some of the most important advancements in social networking design and technology. They have the potential to reverse the harms wrought by the monolithic social media platforms of yesterday.

But even more than that, Mastodon and the Fediverse can be so much more than what we are against. We have so much potential. I believe in all of our power to build and change the world. We start by building and convening in healthier online communities because our strength together is far more than the sum of our differences. I believe in building technologies that help bring out the best in humanity; I believe in the amazing things we can do and be when we work together.

I didn’t want to publish it when we lost touch with him for a number of days and were fearing the worst but he and his family are now in the South and trying to make a new start of it.

They still need your help.

We were able to get a little money to them on the last day of last week’s emergency campaign but they still need more help to get settled in and to cover the basic necessities of life.

There are a couple of anonymous cowards on Mastodon telling people that all Palestinians you see here are fake and that the Internet there doesn’t work at all and spamming the #fediblock hashtag to get my Mastodon instance defederated so they can silence me and the work we are doing with @joynewacc (a real person from Palestine, can you believe that?) on Gaza Verified.

I hope they get what they deserve for their genocide denial (which makes them complicit in genocide as genocide denial is the last and final stage of genocide) and the harm they are trying to inflict on people already suffering from genocide and famine.

Truly, they are the worst of humanity.

Meanwhile, here we are, holding video calls with Palestinian families in Gaza to ensure that one of the last lifelines they have on the Internet remains open to them.

Right, it’s time we started an initiative to find and call out (with receipts) accounts on the fediverse engaged in genocide denial and genocide apologism in support of Israel’s ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people.

There are accounts (and even whole instances, it would seem) that are engaged in this and, further, attempts to silence the voices, not to mention threaten the livelihoods of, those of us speaking out against Israel’s genocide of the Palestinian people and attempting to help Palestinians in Gaza who are being starved, shot, bombed, and burned to death by Israel as we speak.

Is there already a hashtag we can use? If not, any suggestions? Is #GenocideDenial? too generic? How about #FediGenocideDenial?

Fabio is the opposite of a Nazi and I am sick and tired of people WHO ARE OPPOSING A LITERAL GENOCIDE being perpetrated by Israel constantly having to defend themselves from accusations of antisemitism.

The dregs of humanity who are supporting, apologising for, and complicit in Israel’s genocide are the people and instances we should be blocking here not antifascists like Fabio who is spending his time trying to get aid to Palestinians on the ground in Gaza.

Ask yourselves what kind of person tries to have someone who is trying to get aid to people who are being starved blocked on the fediverse.

And then decide who should be blocked and who shouldn’t.

(And remember that history is watching.)

I’d like to know who the anonymous coward running the @8124@mastodon.social account is.

That person is defending Israel’s genocide of the Palestinian people, slandering and attempting to silence voices that oppose it (and those trying to get aid to the Palestinian people), and generally apologising for and complicit in genocide all while maintaining their anonymity. If anyone should be losing their job, it’s that person, not Fabio.

Feel free to DM me for my Signal if you have any information as they should experience consequences for their actions.

Any information you provide will be kept in confidence.
