The Orico OmniPlus is a Mac Mini lookalike with the guts of an inexpensive Windows laptop including an AMD Ryzen 5 7535H processor. But it has a decent set of I/O features including dual 40 Gbps USB4 ports and two 2.5 GbE LAN ports. #MacMini #OricoOmniPlus #MiniPC #Orico https://www.ithome.com/0/894/140.htm
Help #linux #nixos people running on #apple #t2 #macmini hardware!
I've got this 2018 Mac mini, and I cannot get the onboard wi-fi to work for the life of me! I know this is one of those pain in the ass t2 models. And likely has a Broadcom chipset. But this usually works great with these settings.
I even tried t2 fedora spin that even worked out of the box on a T2 MacBook air.
But nothing works on this POS. Any ideas?
Wow, running this on my #OpenBSD#PowerPc#Macmini#G4
I saw the YouTube recommendation, but i seldom get the "hype"
Then a friend gave me the link
Seems very interesting.

I have an old #MacMini from circa 2010, but I can't think of anything to do with it.
It doesn't have any USB3 ports and only one Ethernet port, so I can't use it as a router. Its DVD drive doesn't work (probably just dusty, but I don't know how to open it up and clean it), so I can't use it as a DVD player.
What do people do with old #Mac Minis these days?
Is it perhaps possible to run modern macOS in an emulator on it?
