A post that is two colored bars. The top says "I've learned that a lot of guys visualize our social environment like this:" and then it has a bar of 95% white saying "good men" and a little red saying "fascist men". The next says "but it's actually closer to this:" This bar is a gradient with text in blocks going from white to red saying " Heroic men who will intervene", next saying "well-meaning men who underestimate the issue", next saying "Men who think predation is an unfortunate fact of life", next saying "Men who think certain women deserve it (but aren't active predators)", next saying "Men who passively enjoy/consume/encourage predation. Next saying "Textbook predators we are all aware of", and the last saying "Monsters So cruel we can’t even fathom them"

The text of the tweet is "The media when a black man shoplifts bread to feed his daughter vs when a white man murders family and dissolves them in acid. There is an image of a black person in a prison jumpsuit staring blankly at the camera. The next is a white man smiling lying down on his stomach with his kids laughing lying on top of him. Underneath this are two news articles. The first is titled "2 People Suspected of Stealing 90 Cans of Baby Formula from Walmart" with the link bit.ly/2l1jhjS. The next is 'St. Charles Man Killed Daughters Before Telling Wife to "Live and Suffer."' (bit.ly/2mlWjkf). This one has an image of his daughters smiling with him off to the side smiling and leaning his head towards them.

A tumblr post starting with an image of a man holding the string of a bow with an arrow on it, and the woman holding the wooden part, with the arrow pointing at her. The first post says by "cassandraCroft" says "So this is what trust looks like." The next post by edwardsSpoonHands says "Funny, my first thought was "So this is what patriarchy looks like". The next post is by "feministe-radicale-et-bisexuelle and says "Yup. This is how women are supposed to trust men. With their lives." The last post is by "egalitariste" saying " woman: "HEY, can we just... Drop the bow?" Man: “why don't you trust me? I'm not a violent guy, you are insulting me thinking I will hurt you!!!" woman: "No it's just... well I'm afraid" Man: "But why? Look at me, I'm not afraid. And we're equal, look, we pull the bow together." Woman: "I think we’re not equal, you can kill me with the arrow and I can't." man: "What? So you would like to be able to kill me? You're so aggressive" woman: "That's not what I mean. We're talking about equality - you can hurt me! I can’t." man: "Of course you can. You can hit me with the bow if you want." woman: "that's not the same thing, it will never kill you" man: " Oh you always complaining, stop victimizing yourself! Do I talk about the difficulty of holding the arrow? Of the responsibility it gives me?" etc etc. Every debate about gender equality, ladies and gentleman

A tweet and an image of text by @cindyWangeBranndt It says "This is very normalized in my culture. The first time I asked an American friend to errand hang with me, she was so shocked I felt like I did something wrong. That's when I learned in american culture, expecting company for mundane reasons is considered not independent enough. The attached image says "Can we take a moment to talk about the sweetness of the errand friend hang?" The errand hang - where you hit your homie up to accompany you while you tend to the tasks that come with adulting - the grocery run, getting a pair of pants tailored, helping you pick a new bedframe, etc. The errand hang dismisses the usual setting of a bar or a lunch, It waves off the expected script of "give me the summarized updates of your life then I'll give you the sum of mine" Instead the errand hang dances in the sweet vulnerability that comes from the everyday. The errand hang sings "Ok I'm a human and you're a human and we're going to take an intimate walk through this seemingly ordinary part of my life, but if you look closely this moment will reveal something delightfully specific and illuminating to what makes me - me, and I want to share that with you because quite frankly - I just like your company, and even in the silence (sometimes especially the silence) it makes me feel somewhere between warmer and content to have you beside me
