#Digitalorganisationen fordern europäische Souveränität

In einem Schreiben an die Hochschulen haben sich heute 21 Organisationen und Firmen für mehr Unabhängigkeit von den großen Plattformen wie Instagram, TikTok, YouTube und Facebook ausgesprochen. Mit dezentralen Plattformen wie #Mastodon und #PeerTube wird die vielfach geforderte #digitaleSouveränität auch im Bereich der sozialen Medien ermöglicht.
Dabei werden Dienste wie Mastodon und PeerTube schon von rund 60 deutschen #Hochschulen erfolgreich genutzt und sie haben sich zu einer tragenden Säule der Hochschul- und Wissenschaftskommunikation entwickelt. Sie ermöglichen eine Kommunikation, die unabhängig von Werbung und #Manipulation durch undurchsichtige #Algorithmen stattfindet.

Ohne staatliche Regulierung eignet sich diese Machttechnologie ideal für autoritäre oder gar faschistische Zwecke.
