@timbray I do!

But I think this will mostly be a staff decision, now that they have their marching orders.

I suspect they'll start posting to all the platforms, rather than picking one winner.

Unfortunately if any platform gets left off the list I suspect it will be Mastodon, because that would require either choosing an instance (which could be perceived as a political choice, which staff will probably want to avoid) or setting up their own instance, which would have a higher bar with respect to research, planning, and implementation.

It's just for the City Clerk account in any case, which is pretty obscure and housekeepingish.

I haven't posted on here for quite a while. Here's a hike that I completed on Sunday. It's the infamous Grouse Grind in North Vancouver! Very hard!

A sign by the trail. It reads:
Congratulations!
You've made it to the 1/4 mark.
That was the easy section.
Now comes the hard part.
The trail gets steeper and narrower from here.
So, do an honest check in:
Feeling tired already? Used up all your water? Light-headed or dizzy?
This is the best place to turn around. Beyond this point, downhill travel is not allowed.

I'm giving a talk at FediCon in Vancouver tomorrow. You can RSVP on Smoke Signal.

Yes, I am staging a post so I can put it in my talk! It's called Beyond Microblogging and I'm going to mostly talk about the joy of the ATmosphere.

FediCon kicks off tomorrow in Vancouver 馃挮

Our co-founder @michaelfoster.bsky.social is making the 7,460 km trip to be there!

We wouldn't make these trips if we didn't believe in the Open Social Web and how it can be used to better the world.

If you're going, say hi!
