Der Kaufmann Alexander Safian und seine Frau Margarethe, geborene Schild, lebten gemeinsam in der Lüneburger Straße 2 (Eingang Rollhagenstraße) in Magdeburg. 1939 floh das Ehepaar vor der nationalsozialistischen Verfolgung nach #Shanghai und gelangte in das #Hongkew-Ghetto. Während Alexander Safian die Befreiung im September 1945 überlebte, jedoch am 11. Januar 1947 in Shanghai verstarb, kam Margarethe Safian bereits am 14. Juni 1942 dort ums Leben. 😔
