This rain will help substantially tamping down fire risk in OR & NW CA, though some existing fires in heavy timber will likely continue burning. No rain is expected in Central/Southern CA for foreseeable future, so this will not affect fire season down south. [3/4] #CAwx #ORwx

Heads up, Seattle. With the temperature relief on onshore flow will likely come wildfire smoke from the Olympic Peninsula Bear Gulch fire. Hopefully it’ll stay aloft.
