Hoiho, the yellow eyed penguin, is one of the rarest penguins in the world and found only in Aotearoa. 🐧

But the northern population of hoiho is collapsing - by 80 percent since 2008.

Use our easy online tool to make a submission to call for zero bycatch of endangered hoiho.

Good news for the Hoiho: the temporary emergency closure has been extended! 🥳 🐧

But still, the long term plans are insufficient and need to be improved to guarantee the survival of these beautiful creatures.
