Israeli attacks on journalists
According to the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ), Israel has killed at least 246 journalists and media workers since the start of the war in October 2023.
Of that, 59 were directly targeted and killed by Israeli forces in what CPJ describes as murders. Most of the victims were Palestinian journalists and media workers reporting in the Gaza Strip, the group says.

Tragically, the #CPJ (Committee for Protecting Journalists) had published a protection appeal in July for Anas al-Sharif, as he was " being targeted by an #Israeli military smear campaign, which [he believed was] a precursor to his assassination."
