A multitude of white-edged shelf fungi festoon this fallen log; as seen top down. The "background" is the rather damp, dark brown, leaf litter.

It's been cold, here is some wall-screw moss (growing on a log) still coated in frost

An out-of-focus fern frond photobombs a large stump festooned with Mountain-Fern Moss. The moss does, for tall the world, look something between little ferns and/or large feathers.

Speed hiking training in the books. Today it was uphill interval training (8x 2 min full out followed by 2 min easy). On my way down I was able to re-find the spots for #FungiFriday, #Mosstodon and #ThickTrunkThursday I saw on the way up.
