“Trump says he will release the Epstein client list if elected,” the right-wing propagandist account Libs of TikTok wrote in September of 2024. “The Democrat elites are shaking rn.”

Well, a year later, someone is certainly shaking.

During the 2024 campaign, #Trump, when asked, pledged to release documents related to the investigation, commonly referred to as the “ #EpsteinFiles.” A key tenet of the #CultOfPersonality around Trump was the belief that his second presidency would result in the #Epstein documents revealing a secret #cabal of #Democratic #pedophiles [ #QAnon #ConspiracyTheories which Trump leaned into].

#Trump went on to suggest that the question was a “desecration” of the memory of those who had recently died in floods in the Texas Hill Country.

It was a strangely aggressive reaction from the man whose most fervent supporters had spent years talking about #Epstein, the…convicted #SexOffender who died in prison [during Trump’s first term🤨] before his last trial, in which he faced charges for #SexTrafficking minors.

Additionally, the #Trump admin has not been transparent. The overwhelming majority of the “thousands of pages of documents” the #DOJ released on #Epstein were already mostly public information. It’s clear that these paltry excuses from Trump aren’t going to make any of this go away.

#Trump has recently said he kicked #Epstein out because he “stole” workers from him. There have also been reports that they fell out over a real estate deal. Either way, this story that Trump was some white knight who defended the honor of the women of Mar-a-Lago doesn’t hold up with his own words.

The statues seemed to have struck a nerve within the #Trump admin, as they responded almost as quickly as the statues were erected.

This statue represents the ongoing public fascination & outrage over the Trump admin’s repeated attempts to suppress further investigation into the #EpsteinFiles given his close friendship with the notorious sex predator.
