The #Democrats’ release of the emails came hours before Speaker #MikeJohnson was scheduled to swear in Rep-elect Adelita Grijalva, Democrat of Arizona, whom he has avoided seating for nearly 2 months since she won her election.
She is expected to provide the final signature necessary on a petition to force a #House vote on a measure demanding that the #Trump admin release all of its investigative material pertaining to #Epstein. The White House has strongly opposed the measure.
The current US government shutdown was exposing the Republicans for wanting to destroy healthcare, while putting maximum pressure on Trump.
The longer it went on, the more certain it was, voters would vote against this regime in 2026. Because no one wants a government that does not govern.
But then 8 Democratic senators caved and voted with Republicans to help Trump get out of his mess.
Strategically, this must really be the worst move by Democrats in 2026.
