but the overarching concept is that anyone makes a blocklist, and makes it as rigorous and comprehensive, or random and shoddy, as they want

and then people subscribe to it or not depending upon its quality (or lack thereof: is the theoretical harm in that a problem if it is self-imposed?)

if #bluesky corporate polices that, then what we get is they've removed the entire premise of #composableModeration

I have since added the seriously, folks note to the exported files and told anybody who wanted out of the big list that I will remove them on condition that they track down the morons who use that list as anything other than a historical artifact and LART them.

For people who run large public HTTP services, are there any IP/JA3/fingerprint lists that you use to create outright block lists at your network edge? I'm interested in ones that you know are safe and don't cause false positives for you.

I've used Firehol in the past but unsure how up to date they are these days. Retoots appreciated!
