The sounding board of a yueqin – a stringed Chinese instrument also known as a moon lute – being held at an angle in the lap of a seated musician, looks like a discombobulated face. Its bridge looks like a nonplussed mouth and its two resonating holes look like forlorn eyes.

A photo of a viewing machine on North Berwick harbour, looking out to Craigleith island. It looks like a shiny robot. It has a wide oval head, 2 eyes and a dangling snout. Two arms curve up to its ears. Presumably they're holding its head in place, as it doesn't have a neck. Beyond the robot is the blurred view of sea, island and sky.

While searching for lichens, I discovered this pretty orange goldfish on a rock on the beach.
It must have jumped out of Lake Huron... 🤔

Is it still #Pareidolia if it looks like a bear?

This might be my favorite because the two screws are well above a large knot in the plank, and the knot even curls inward suggesting nostrils. Below that is another knot positioned like a crooked little mouth.

Another weathered plank with two screws and a knot that might look like a bear, but maybe more like the sloth in the Ice Age movie.

The autofocus of my camera immediately focused on the "eye" 😂 .
Alas, it didn't move.

A large twisted branch that broke off a tree fell into the meadow below. It resemble a long, sleek animal raising its head our of the grass. It seems to have ears and a long snout and is looking into the distance.
