Possibly the most beautiful building in Australia, the State Library of Victoria. Part 3 of 4.

Along with books, the Library is home to art exhibitions, as well as an impressive collection of paintings.

There are many cafés in Australia. But few let you sip a flat white while staring at an archaeological site.

(Earlier post: https://pixelfed.social/p/ajsadauskas/846329855424086558 )

UPDATE: The photos were taken at the Shed Café, on the ground floor of the Skye Suites building, at the corner of Macquarie & Marsden Streets, in Parramatta.

Construction of wooden mid-rise and high-rise buildings is gradually increasing in the Tohoku region, pushed by legislation and the trend toward decarbonization. https://www.japantimes.co.jp/business/2025/09/01/wooden-buildings-increasing-in-tohoku/?utm_medium=Social&utm_source=mastodon #business #wood #constructionindustry #tohoku #buildings

If anyone has good tools for figuring out when #buildings were built please lay them on me.

I’m very reactive to unknown something which especially is in 1970s buildings. Indoor diagnostics next week.

I’ve been trying to pull building #permits on gov websites but it’s very hit and miss.

Thank you!!
