Everyone values their own liberty. A libertarian is someone who values everyone's liberty, *even when* it goes against their own short term wants or self-interest. A self-described "libertarian" who only cares about freedom for them and theirs, and the devil take the hindmost, is *not* a libertarian.

I've come across genuine libertarians who align with other left and others with the right. But fake libertarians are *much* more common on the right in my experience.

Vast amounts of time are wasted by people arguing about the definitions of words which were always complex overlapping concepts, nevermind the trolling and manipulation out there

The only way forward is to forget the words entirely
