I was renewing an #Insurance policy this morning and they said they no longer accept @protonprivacy emails addresses because 'they are associated with fraud'. WTAF?

They used my #Protonmail address happily for 3 years. Where has this change come from? Is this #BigTech selling #CyberSec #InfoSec products which just happen to lock end users into their products?

When I use a rolling TOTP just after it expired but it still works due to the server side tolerance window.

Szczerze mówiąc, działania Big Techów w ostatnich latach naprawdę zniechęcają do czegokolwiek. Tak jest też z najnowszym pomysłem Google'a dotyczącym blokowania instalacji spoza "zaufanych źródeł". Lekko, ale merytorycznie pisze o tym autor w poniższym tekście.

I want to shout one more thing about personal info leaks that I haven't seen enough.

YOU CANNOT RESET YOUR FACE

If you get a text password stolen, yeah, it's a pain. But you can reset all passwords and five years from now it will be little more than a fun anecdote.

If you get your face, fingerprint or iris scan leaked when you are 30 years old, your face stays leaked when you are 70 years old. You cannot reset that shit for your whole life.

RealIDs are ticking time bombs.
