A town square can be nationalized, or we can guarantee free access, or whatever we want. The problem is the algorithm that suggests content and nothing else. Instead you're out here still fighting the cold war. The #Boomer conflict of Marxism versus Capitalism or little guy versus big guy is obsolete politics. We have the democratizing technology of the internet and exactly the decentralized infrastructure you should be supporting. You are on Mastodon. Why are you not able to see that there are other paths? 
You disappoint me, Dan. Support letting the little guy like me have whatever opinion I want. Oppose the old political dichotomy. Educate the youth in tools instead of ideology. Free the youth. Abandon the prior war. Kill the cold war if you have to. Walk away from the failed divide. They're just making sure that left or right they're either way controlling you. That's why they hate the Centrists; they're on the same side.
