So I got a buderus #heatpump and the mobile app is _quite_ limited, also not possible to access data via any open protocol 🙄
So I bought an ems-esp gateway from https://bbqkees-electronics.nl.
It gets power via the bus connection (3,5mm jack, _one_ cable), then I just had to set up the network connection and #mqtt to make everything appear in #homeassistant.
Mind blown, best experience for quite some time.
And you can make it only read from the bus, so no worries to misconfigure something.
MQTT is a lightweight messaging protocol widely used in #IoT systems. It was originally designed for monitoring oil pipelines over low-bandwidth, unreliable satellite links. Check out my latest blog post and video if you want to learn more about #MQTT!

OK folks, what Home Assistant friendly light switches do we like?
(As in "the switch is wired into mains" and controls a non-smart device, I want to wire this into my home.)
EDIT: thank you so much for all the responses! I've got some digging to do now, and lots of great suggestions!
Migrated my ZigBee2MQTT to BSD, of course running inside a Jail (and with IPv6!) 🙂
All running perfectly fine and as stable as you'd expect from FreeBSD 
Plus the rc.d script is so minimalistic and simple, that I don't get it, why anyone would prefer intransparent systemd to that!
Another part of my home-infrastructure migrated over!
