I’d love to see him do something that incorporates his love of Lord of the Rings. Not focused on LotR, but just bring in more references. He’s so knowledgeable and the literature is so rich, I bet he could draw many more parallels with current events, and folks would be really into it. #LotR#Colbert

@heidilifeldman Agree, but these people have earned enough to be able to broadcast their messages trough independent platforms. They are quite old and don't need more money.

If you haven’t been watching Colbert, you can’t imagine how focused and funny and unrelenting he has been in exposing Trump’s criminality, night after night. He has kept me sane. He has done the job the mainstream press has abdicated. He has spoken the truth.

No wonder the axe is falling.
