In other words, #CarbonCapture is not viable, i.e., is a scam. That Canada's PM, the man who believes himself the smartest man in the room, always, has bought into.

why this #carboncapture stuff everywhere all of a sudden.

err. look, the reason why i don't want to hear it is very simple: IT. DOES. NOT. WORK.

industry has been trying to find a way to collect individual molecules of CO2 out of the air for 20 years now with 0 results. nothing. a rounding error.

there is a very well proven way to store carbon though, it is called sedimentary rock. of which the same companies are still extracting it at insane rates.

#CarbonCapture auf dem Lande, mit Betonung auf Zweiterem: Bei Nachbar:inne:n Kaminholz klauen, und im eigenen Garten verbuddeln. ;-)

Das reduziert #HolzofenGate, treibt inoffiziell (immerhin eine kleine) CO2-Steuer ein und lockert den Gartenboden auf. Und Pilzzucht begünstigt es auch noch. Lecker! Aber ob das noch #NoDig ist? :thisisfine: #CCS

To the surprise of no one a new investigation shows that carbon air capture company Climeworks is unable to offset even its own operations, let alone their clients.

And mind you that this is in Iceland, where these plants run on 100% renewable electricity.
