This flare gun (I think it's a flare gun) was in some of my father's stuff. He was a WWII Navy vet and served in the Pacific. He did not collect or keep a lot of military stuff so I assume it's from his service. I've tried searching for flare gun pics, including japanese, chinese, vietnamese, and korean, but nothing even looks close. Abandoned Nazi military Barracks in Germany. Throwback to my visit, quite a few years ago now.

The Wehrmacht commissioned these military barracks in the 1930s during the rearmament period of Nazi Germany. When Nazi forces left in 1945, it is said that the Soviet Army moved in the following day!

I have blurred out the symbols that appear within the eagle's talons in this mosaic.
