@Gina We are located in Nothern Germany near #Eckernförde, so weather-wise not an improvement compared to #TheHague. But dependent on or place of living hiring for 100% remote is possible, too. Feel free to send a CV or similar.

Presidency of the Assembly of States Parties expresses deep concern and rejects U.S. measures targeting ICC officials as a threat to international justice

It is with deep concern that we note the latest actions announced by the Government of the United States against [4] elected officials of the International Criminal Court. These new actions, in addition to an earlier designation of an elected official, are regrettable attempts to impede the Court and its personnel in the exercise of their independent judicial functions. We firmly and unequivocally reject these unilateral measures. They represent a regrettable affront to the independence of the Court and the integrity of the Rome Statute system. Such actions risk undermining global efforts to ensure accountability for the gravest crimes of concern to the international community and erode the shared commitment to the rule of law, the fight against impunity, and the preservation of a rules-based international order. The International Criminal Court is a cornerstone of international justice. It functions as an independent and impartial judicial body, operating in full accordance with its founding treaty, the Rome Statute. We reiterate our full support for the Court, its officials, and all those who contribute to the fulfilment of its judicial mandate. We urge all States Parties and stakeholders in the Rome Statute system to remain steadfast in their commitment to uphold the principles of international justice and to stand united in defending the Court and protecting the values enshrined in the Rome Statute, undaunted by any external pressure or coercive measure directed against the institution or its personnel. The Assembly of States Parties is the management oversight and legislative body of the ICC. It is comprised of representatives of States that have ratified and acceded to the Rome Statute. The Presidency of the Assembly is currently composed of President Päivi Kaukoranta (Finland) and Vice-Presidents Michael Imran Kanu (Sierra Leone) and Margareta Kassangana (Poland).
