DRS but for #Proxmox? Yes!

With #ProxLB (free and #opensource / #GPLv3) you can get something which comes close to it - also featuring things like affinity/anti-affinity rules, node pinning, grouping and maintenance mode for multiple nodes. And if you’re even more interested, there’ll be a talk about my project at the #DutchProxmoxDay next month :)

Probably the most interesting new feature in Proxmox 9 (Beta 1):

Finally we're able to create #Snapshots of VMs with shared block storage (such like #iSCSI, #FibreChannel & #NVMeoF) with LVM Thick without doing dirty workarounds. Well done Proxmox (& Alex!).

Recently, I created a plugin (including PVE UI integration) for #NetApp based storages to create storage side snapshots.

PS: #ProxLB also already supports PVE9!

Just one small new feature:
* You can now use custom ports for the API request

This becomes handy when using additional/external load balancers on different ports than tcp/8006. Have fun :)

Schedule based power management of nodes for #Proxmox clusters? I'm currently integrating something like #DPM into #ProxLB - next to the static (baseline) based one, schedules comes also along with it. Would this config be "human friendly"?

#ProxLB is a loadbalancer for #Proxmox clusters that balances guests across your nodes based on cpu, memory or (local) disk size. It also comes with additional features like:
* Affinity / anti-affinity rules
* Maintenance mode
* Node evacuation (based on best resource usage)
* Best node evaluation for CI/CD (e.g. #Ansible or #Terraform)
