"The change to XLibre is because GhostBSD is not ready for Wayland, and Wayland is not ready for GhostBSD. Some could say that Wayland works. Yes, it does. I've used it on Linux and it works. But GhostBSD is not Linux, and MATE is not ready for it yet. XFCE is not ready for it, and Gershwin isn't either. From what I know, GNUstep is not ready for Wayland.
In short, it's a technical decision: MATE is not ready for Wayland, and Xorg is going backward."

Look, I don't really care if you make #XLibre available to folks; I might even concede some of the #BSD OSes are in a weird spot when it comes to the future of Wayland support.
BUT there is literally no compelling hardware/usability case for needing #XLibre right now? #Xorg is still being developed.
ALL your doing by switching default installs of GhostBSD to XLibre is telegraphing your values.
AND XLibre is an explicitly a racist, anti-DEI project lead by a vaccine denier. Their rejection of DEI is in the Github project readme.
This would cause me to drop GhostBSD if I was running it. #FreeBSD

Looks like the maintainers of xlibre packages in the FreeBSD 15.0 did a great work 
I was able to switch from Xorg to XLibre with just two commands and without any issue, lol

@evgandr the packages are not in FreeBSD, they are in the ports collection.
With regard to an organisation such as X11Libre, this is probably a very important distinction.

I hate the MAGA side of the Artix Linux distro community.
They just accepted XLibre without any fuss...
I'm looking to ditch Artix and switch to another distro.
Currently hesitating between Gentoo and Void.
Any recommendations?
PS: yeah I would like to avoid systemd, and if possible elogin too.

- The whole #Xlibre shitshow is based upon some asshole being yeeted for basically derailing the #FreeDesktop project.
the fact that Devuan tweeted support of #Xlibre makes me never want to suggest this distro ever again.
and the fact that Artix already excitedly made an experimental ISO with Xlibre means I'm going to have to put BSD back on my laptop, if not Alpine. jfc.
