I just saw one appraised on Antiques Roadshow, and it was not in very good condition, for $7000-8000! I've never worn a watch, but if I had one of these, I just might wear it! So cool!

While at the shop today taking photos of my Scold, I realized we really DO have a lot of oddball stuff. I've unfortunately become immune to just how cool they are because I've had time to play with them, ha! However, others do not have that privilege.

So for now, Ill expand my #introduction to include odd #antique stuff in my store.
This is an antique Jambiya dagger from #Iran .The belt is gold/silver thread and the whole thing is covered in a low grade silver.

The details on this cabinet are fabulous. I fixed the bobbin winder with a new bobbin tire, still waiting for the replacement leather belt for the treadle. Removed 116 years of four different threads on the bobbin (moldy, stinky, smoky) and will rewind some. Was able to dislodge the needle (20x1, no longer made), will see if a new needle will hold. I guess most people just collect these as antiques instead of use them and keep them in working order.... #sewingmachinerepair #sewing #antique

My dad gave me this wee barometer/altimeter, made about 1890. Took it out in the Mull hills yesterday - it's as accurate, and smaller, than mobile phone GPS 🤩 🥰 .
