Wes Streeting has failed to head off the Resident Doctors strike next week, so we can expect a further demonisation of doctors as greedy & unconcerned about patients.
While the RDs are certainly impatient both for wage restoration & NHS reform, by failing to convince them of his good will (perhaps, some would argue because he has none?) Streeting has lost a major group of allies in any reform of the health service.
It looks awfully like one more Labour own goal...
