Eugen referred to deleting his bridge to Bluesky, not quitting Mastodon FFS.
You should know Mr. Saltier simply rehashed W Social's press release and failed to mention it is a fork of Bluesky...

Got ripped off on an online purchase over the holidays for about $44.00
Sent dispute to bank/visa.
Bank disputes my dispute and rejects. Just got off the phone to learn the person who reviewed my dispute lied about the answers I provided in their dispute form as cause to reject the dispute.
Now, they've breached the state consumer protection act.
They're under threat of litigation if they don't return the money, which, is no idle threat.
Why would I go to these lengths over $44.00?
Because I'm SICK AND FUCKING TIRED of living in a #corporate dystopia and will drag the money out of them NO MATTER WHAT!!! Have fun paying your attorney's thousands of dollars over a $44.00 dispute because your corporate policy is to screw over your own clients to enrich your shareholders.

Google's image-gen and editing apps *regularly* won't work on my photos if there's *any* hint of skin. Sometimes it will even reject editing simple (fully clothed) selfies of mine because it determines they're too risqué.
I tried this photo numerous times, getting rejected over and over, until it finally accepted it. Same photo. Same edits. Different results.
This reminds me of the research I did years ago on the racial, gender, and economic biases in the three main image-gen models (at the time). I showed statistically that each model associated women with domestic abuse victimhood, men with aggression & violence (specifically frat boys and Black men), racial minorities with poverty, and well-paid professions with white men.
Now we're seeing more sexist bias in *AI tools* that are being put into commonly-used software. This makes me want to run tests on image edit rejection in Google Photos with variously femme and masc-presenting images in different states of undress.
