Fun exercise thinking about U.S. states I would live in or not or somewhat ambivalent about.

(There are a number of states I've never been to, but I know enough about various regions to know I am *very biased* in favor of the West Coast!)

I’m with you on most of those.

That said…

Wyoming has very few people, which is a bonus right off the bat. And, if you live in Laramie… the Colorado front range is just a few hours away. (I lived there)

If you go to montana… you’ll probably like Missoula the best. Bozeman is also nice but too far “inland” for my taste to live there.

North Idaho is a great place to visit. Not sure I’d want to live there these days tho… But Coeur d’ Alene is nice.

Debian testing went wayland-only today, and my emacs-gtk started acting up.

But then I discovered there is emacs-pgtk, which says it has GTK+ Wayland GUI support.

FYI local authorities say a National Gaurd training excersize will be taking place today and tomorrow 10am to 2pm in Seattle's White Center neighborhood.

The drill is claimed to be planned between WA National Guard and the Seattle Fire Department and local first responders say the low flying helicopters are NOT working in conjunction with any Trump immigration raids etc.

According to latest data the AMOC slowdown/shutdown is expected till 2050 with ~59% probability.
I expect that much earlier. 10 years are really optimistic methinks. Let's see, what the effects will look like.

@TopKnot I go to Chattanooga on a regular basis, and I like it as a shopper and a tourist. It's a great place to visit, lots of good food, lots of things to see.

I had a friend who lived there, who's partner was violently attacked and carjacked in front of their home, which is to say: It's a city, and it has all the great parts about being a city but also all the bad parts.

@ajroach42 @TopKnot Signal Mountain in Chattanooga has a strong #TV broadcast presence it reaches a lot of people in 3 states. I don't know if that's relevant to what you do or not just #FYI. I've watched New Ellijay TV I like it they used to have some offbeat TV programming out of Chattanooga when I was young.

Just a #FYI for those on #GoToSocial it seems like my #GTS fails to send messages out after a while. I can seem then show in my profile as if they did, but they don't send out through the #fediverse . I haven't been able to pinpoint the issue, but busy juggling too many things. If you set a stop and start nightly on GTS it seems to be ok and goes fine. @gotosocial
