In my early years, I wrote a #shortstory set in the town I grew up, trying to capture the mood of Christmas in this town, how people celebrated, and how they were pressured into spending money and buying new clothes for themselves. You can read the story here.

Hi, my name is James an I've moved from an instance that is closing down soon.
I'm absolutely queer 
but working a boring office job in Germany, trying to remind ppl at work that personal data needs protection and that genAI came fresh out of pandora's box and does not belong in their daily job.
In my free time I #write fic, #draw digital art and #read a lot of books, mostly #scifi. I play a handful of computer games like #GW2. I watch a lot of tv shows and love Star Trek 
and Doctor Who.
I love #space, #nature, #cats and #photography (although my photos are just taken with my phone). I post them mostly on my Pixelfed account.

I finished Atmosphere on Saturday and, after sitting with it for a few days, I think it might be one of my favourite books ever.
I thought Taylor Jenkins Reid would struggle to surpass Seven Husbands but man, this does.
I really really hope this gets adapted (properly) for the big screen because the narrative deserves it.

The Safekeep by Yael van der Wouden - 7/10
I finished this gem yesterday and honestly, I was blown away.
I didn't expect to be so pulled into another post-war story but here I am! Thankfully, this one was queer with an interesting plot following the treatment of Jewish people in post-war Netherlands.
I learnt stuff, I enjoyed the pacing and act structure, and I would recommend!
