I haven't posted monotypes for a while, so here is one, plus a phantom print that turned out IMO as great as the first print.
This image is inspired by dear memories of seeing the shipwreck that lies on the coast of Inisheer, the smallest of the Aran Islands, but I voluntarily didn't look at any ref or at my old photos, so it's probably not so close to the real stuff.
Still on the faithful 30 x 17 cm copper plate I used for nearly all of them.

Beneath the azure #skies, where the sunbeams dance,
A tiny vessel rests, awaiting its chance.
Upon a #window's edge, it gently lays,
As if a portal to a #world ablaze.
This #ship may be small, but the #journey is vast,
For with our #imagination, the boundaries are surpassed.
In life's tempestuous seas, we must always sail,
For our hearts yearn for warmth and tales to regale.
So let your spirit voyage, unbounded and free,
For life is a sailboat, and we the endless sea.
Found some old badly degraded 35mm slides at a thrift store a couple of weeks back and finally got my scanner thing working. Most of the pictures are of sailors and ahips (I'm guessing this was WW2 or shortly after based on almost nothing).
If there are any #Navy or #Ship enthusiasts here I'd love your thoughts (and have more pics too)

40 years ago today, the #Greenpeace flagship Rainbow Warrior was bombed by French secret service agents. Two blasts destroyed the ship and murdered onboard photographer, Fernando Pereira.
The attack backfired, instead galvanising the movement. Greenpeace only grew stronger, and "You Can't Sink a Rainbow" became a rallying call for resistance.
The Rainbow Warrior sailed again and is here today as a powerful symbol of resistance, putting hope into action for a better world.
