A mini review of Wonder Man:
I finished watching Wonder Man and.... Finally!!! Finally #Marvel has understood that they don't have to always fall into the super hero trope, even when they start with an original idea. Even the best shows (WandaVision comes to mind) have a very uninspired and cliché ending.
Wonder Man does its own thing the whole time, until the end. It's not a super hero show. It's a buddy comedy, almost a sitcom, where one of the protagonists happens to have super powers. I loved it from beginning to end.
The first episode of Wonder Man was fun. Ben Kingsley and Yahya Abdul-Mateen are a duo that works.
Can't wait to watch the rest.
(while Marvel movies have become way too formulaic, Marvel TV shows for the most part are always fun and original)

#RIP Just read about Sal Buscema's dead . One of the #comics legends, one of the men that made #Marvel great. His most known drawing was probably in The Spectacular Spider-Man or The Incredible Hulk but had many, many more.

I always wonder whether lines like this come from the original comics.
Marvel Comics is sunsetting their Developer Portal, including access to their API that included massive amounts of information about comic books, past and present. It's a shame!

I've just watched Fantastic Four, and I really liked it. Beside the last act that was your typical Marvel last act, I thought everything else was pretty awesome. The retro style of course, but not just in the appearance, also in the tone of most of the movie (it may not feel like the real 60s but it definitely feels like a 60s comic) as well as the fact that the movie spends time with the characters. Of course, it helps that there are just four of them (1/2?)
Still, the movie feels like a family movie for the most part, as much as it feels like a superhero movie.
I seems that Marvel is learning and is less afraid to change its style and tone. I hope they go further in that direction. We'll see.
(and they'd better make the X-Men movies fully political or I riot)
