The trail is covered with fallen leaves which range in colour from light brown to orangish. The trail curves slightly to the right in the frame with trees close to the edges on both sides. Some green leaves still remain on the trees providing a mix of colour across the photo. The frame is filled with trees and leaves in the top section with no sky showing.

This photo was taken along a trail in a wooded area during the day. A staircase made of wood is in the centre of the frame, rising up into the background. A handrail with two sections is present on the left hand side of the stairs. The trail leads up to the beginning of the steps and trees line both sides of the staircase. Although mid-October, the leaves on the trees in this area are still mostly green. Some brown fallen leaves can be seen on the trail itself.
