I thought that was #Foursquare/ #Swarm?
I was wondering why #Swarm now always opens with a map - I know where I am, Iβm about to check in!
Then I noticed the search and buttons (βRestaurantsβ, βCoffeeβ, etc) at the top and realised theyβve done as promised and folded the old #Foursquare guide stuff back into the app.
On the plus side, now the #Swarm icon is monochrome, Iβll no longer confuse it and the orange Strava app that it sits next to on my phone.
New #Swarm app design after all these years! Iβm trying not to be too βugh I hate the new designβ without giving it a chance, but somehow thereβs too much space, and the text is too small, and it looks really busy. An odd combination.
This is the first checkin I've done with the #ActivityPub API using the new checkin tool I've been working on for the SocialCG geosocial task force (https://swicg.github.io/geosocial/).
It is pretty neat. I will share more info when the tool is working better, but it feels cool.
