@PttP You can check those pages at my local library to get a sense of what our project looks like. We're still getting going, just a couple months in. But it comes down to installing GNU/Linux (Mint) on donated computers as well as offering install assistance to folks that want to switch. Then, light support, classes at the library on using free software, GNU/Linux, Security/Privacy and more as we roll along. If you have a local library I'd suggest starting with them if you need a space.

@PttP I'd like to see my current effort of one turn into a user group that can multiply the offering. is fairly impoverished, I think if we can keep at it we'll slowly raise an awareness of what and Free Software can do for people on a budget. And, along with that, improve local users' knowledge, self-reliance and willingness to help other users is . A seed that can be planted anywhere if there's a local gardener to care for it. 🙂 🌱

The USDA failed to follow its own guidance for a rural mortgage program, taking years to foreclose on delinquent loans.

As a result, 55 Maine borrowers racked up, on average, $110,000 in additional debt before the agency moved to take the homes.
