i was not suggesting any substitute OS, and just getting the #aurorastore #apk on the #android that comes with the phone.

that is one easy way to make #android less annoying: remove the #loginwall for #googleplay and use a #foss #googleplay client, #aurorastore, to get the apps from #googleplay.
to get #googeplay apps without showing my ID or whatever #google demands for a login.
