@tekphloyd Yeah, that's a pickle! I suppose it depends on how she's using it as an everything database. But search in Photos is fantastic. And if it's must be accessible from mobile devices it's even trickier.

I reverted to my pre-cloud photo process. Everything is on a hard drive and I use digiKam which is free/libre software. It's an excellent app but does not provide anything close to Photos search.

@bryan That's fantastic. Keep sharing your progress. I think the more we talk about it and share our steps taken the more we can help one another. Just as they "gameify" their shit to keep is using it, we should gameify our progress in getting off out of their nightmarish profit machines.

So now that both #Apple and #Meta have formally appealed the #DMA fines that are just pocket money for them, can we please start calling those lawsuits for what they are: intimidation similar to #SLAPPs.

They are designed to bind public resources for years, which regulators will lack for enforcing the #DigitalMarketsAct, to intimidate civil servants in the @EUCommission, and to show us that #BigTech is above the law and that we are helpless.

Let's not be intimidated. #ResistBigTech
