More info, text reads:
You are invited along to the Solidarity Salon on Saturday 19th of April in Glasgow at 2pm. Salons historically were often hosted by an influential woman, at which intellectual and social topics were discussed. Salons served as a space for intellectual exhcange and the dissemination of ideas. They were particularly significant for women, providing a platform for education and intellectual participation in a time when women's roles in society were often limited.
This Solidarity Salon is a space fo teh LGBTQ+ community and allies to come together, network, share ideas and express themselves. This expression can be through speeches, spoken word, poetry, song, dance. We will be reaching out to different organisations to join us and to share their expertis [sic] resources, and support. This event is in direct response to the recent UK Supreme court ruling and the ongoing attacks on LGBTQ+ rights and their access to sports and healthcare across the globe.
If you would like to speak or perform at the event on behalf of yourself or an organisation please email us at cabaretagainstthehatespeech@gmail.com
