Deutsche „bushcraft“ YouTuber, die nach Skandinavien fahren, sich im Wald einen Platz suchen und dann dort erst einmal „fein“ für ein paar Tage ihr Lager aufschlagen, indem sie ein halbes Dutzend Bäume fällen, weil sie ihre „bushcraft skills“ verbessern wollen. Man braucht sich echt nicht wundern, warum wir hier mittlerweile so verhasst sind, dass sie lieber gleich das Jedermannsrecht ganz abschaffen.

Good grief. I have just read about another anti-science cult. That of “free birth” which means no medical or trained people around. And of course multiple tragedies have occurred. Meantime the “influencers” behind it take in millions. This concept of influencer needs to die in a fire. Experts yes. People making money off ignorance and gullibility. No. Platforms that encourage this dangerous information online with payments should be held liable. #Influencer #WildBirth #FreeBirth
I've decided that from now on, this is how - I - define #creator vs #influencer :
Creator: someone who creates content (video, audio, image, art, writing, etc) that they have done at least 90% of the work towards creating
Influencer: someone whose primary job is to be in front of the camera, while other people do all the rest of the work (scripting, editing, costuming, promoting, etc etc etc)
I'm not saying being an #influencer is inherently worthless vs being a #creator, just that these are two VERY different occupations, and they deserve their own distinct terminology.
Next up: "reaction channel" vs "commentary."
I've decided that from now on, this is how - I - define #creator vs #influencer :

It’s my fault! I chose to break my femur in the middle of summer. A good #influencer should pick a better time to go viral :-)
