I was out in the evening breeze, talking with the horses. Ember thought she might try her luck.
We actually said hi and for a brief moment the world was at piece. 😇

Hello sfba(dot)social
This is my #Introduction
About me:
Just made this account since I quit Facebook but want to meet some folks locally.
I want to become a math interventionist with emphasis on combating math anxiety.
I love math and my life goal is to make math accessible for neurodivergent folks. I’m working on going back to school and getting licensed.
I am hella ADHD. I had depression and agoraphobia which are in remission right now. Still fighting my skin picking and social anxiety (which is why I use social media to get to know people first).
I’m a huge Star Trek fan but I am also a big fan of science fiction in general. My favorite is Voyager / Prodigy and Admiral / hologram janeway is my hero.

Hello everyone. I just joined today and wanted to introduce myself. I have a variety of interests but really enjoy learning.
Data privacy, networking, music, and history (primary anthropology) are some of my main focuses.
I hope to settle in and learn the ropes!
And that video inspired this super cute remix by South Asian influencer couple Anjali Chakra and Sufi Malik.

This was originally from a (now unavailable) Twitter post that said "I did the thing where I let my 2½-year-old nephew take over my Animoji and he mostly had one question" and had this video attached.

Hello Lurk and Mastodon.
We take advantage of this first post to introduce the collective.
BBB is a group of 20 people based in Belgium and France.
We will post mainly in French, sometimes in English or both.
In their researchs, BBB dig and twist standards, question licenses and the smoothness of our digital interfaces.
We will post here mainly about our researchs, events and publications.
Image : Bye Bye Binary (Max Lillo, Léna Salabert-Triby, Sophie Vela) et Griffes d’anges (Salome Jouin, Antoine Wiart Lamirault), Hellove al visibilitel, Toulouse, 2024.

hi Mastodoners and Lurkers,
time for an introduction: my name is Clara and i mostly make websites.
I like thinking about (web) interfaces (/not only/) and coding them. Recently I joined OSP (Open Source Publishing) where I savor learning open source tools and discovering what it means to be part of a collective.
I nurture an affection for (daily) low tech, (passionate) (clumsy) (off-screen) practices, books, (daily) poetry and meditative gestures.
excited to join yall here, bisous! 💋
#Hello World #Introduction
I’m an artist and researcher working primarily with sound across music and art contexts. That is, I produce records, installations and play gigs. Over the last 10 years there has been a focus on sonifying data produced by surveillance tech and in general I’m interested in sound’s potential to engage with contemporary political contexts.
I’m also someone who feels conflicted about using social media - on the one hand I would happily not engage with it whatsoever but as an artist feel it’s necessary to have some visibility in these spaces. I tend to sporadically post about upcoming gigs or exhibitions and occasionally will share an article, usually about something happening in the tech space that I find particularly worrisome. In general I’m critical towards #technological solutionism and feel #tech won’t save us. However I am curious and hopeful for the potential of de-centralised platforms such as this and am extremely grateful to all the people whose energies go into developing alternatives to Big Tech and their increasingly centralised power and over-reach. Finally if you’ve got this far, thanks for taking the time to read my thoughts both based in research and from the heart. I look forward to following you back. <3
