Rolling Stone is back with more reporting on the unit of child soldiers the alleged DC National Guard attacker was the CIA groomed him for.
On the ground reporting from DC tonight indicates that the illegally deployed National Guard troops have largely stood down for the night and have abondened their "high visibility" patrols which had become common in DC.

The net effect of these combined rapid immigration policy changes is that around 470k legal US residents are now in limbo or were just told that ICE will forcefully arrest and deport them in the next few months.
From here I expect Trump to try and justify all of the terrible human toll of ICE contact by pointing to the actions of a single man in DC.

"One of Trump’s first actions on taking office in January 2025 was to issue an executive order suspending the Afghan resettlement program and leaving those eligible in legal limbo. Approximately 180,000 Afghans had been admitted to the United States after August 2021;"
In the middle of Thanksgiving dinner the Trump admin's Immigration Service immediately made new rules specifically prompted by this event.
They halted any new Afghan resettlement and promised to re-interview and re-vet all already admitted US residents from Afghanistan.
This will subject around 120k+ US residents to unnecessary ICE contact.
So anyways, no one should give a rats ass about a CIA asset crashing out on two fascists asset National Guardsmen.
That 500 soldier surge is now clearly deeply unjustified and the usual fascist excuse for another power grab.

Another super #DumbNews update, turns out the guy who killed the National Guard troops was a CIA asset in Afghanistan (so he absolutely could get killed if deported) and not only that but again as the media is leaving out the unit he served in was well known for doling out alleged war crimes.
