Debian 😻

New #laptop #computer at work, which will replace my > 12 yo Lenovo Thinkpad X220. It's a #Framework#Laptop13.

Installed #Debian 13 #trixie. So far looks good, only #hibernate did not work at first. Had to switch off #SecureBoot.

And this is the good news of the day: #DebianInstaller by default keeps a RAM-size #swap partition again, which is needed for #hibernation. This was broken for ≈ two Debian releases, but finally fixed.

Quelqu'un comprend ce qu'est UKI qui sera disponible avec la prochaine release Debian ?
Je trouve une explication sur le wiki d'Arch mais j'y pige pas grand-chose, et notamment pas le point qui m'intéresse concrètement : est-ce que cela veut dire que l'on peut chiffrer son disque sans avoir besoin de conserver un /boot non chiffré...

Good news. #Debian#Trixie is running one of the fixed kernels (6.12.35) rather the broken 6.12.31 it had previously.

Thought I'd better check, as Debconf is about to start, so Trixie won't be long now 😃
