One of the trafficking victims in this story says she was trafficked for FIVE years.

Among those years FOUR were spent with high ranking cops sexually assaulting her or ignoring the situation.

So the vast majority of the time she was trafficked was spent with cops fully aware, participating and protecting the sex trafficking ring.

All this form a supposedly highly resourced, highly trained DC beltway police force.

This is a 2021 story from my home state in a county I have family.

This and many other taught me ACAB means ALL forms of law enforcement. I'm kinda surprised by the number of comments this week attempting to portray ICE as some how less systemically worse than local cops or simply like the word "cop" doesn't apply to ICE.

When in truth they all have the EXACT same messed up side quests so I call them cops.

Here's a video posted by an active duty Navy Chief stationed on the USS Truman in Norfolk VA.

He details recent situation where one of his sailors upon returning from an active duty deployment ended up detained by local cops + ICE on his way to a gas station for not looking American enough.

Pretty bad when the boot's aren't safe.

Before I was fired tonight, I was in charge of information security for VA.gov, which has millions of users per month and stores and processes huge amounts of veterans' personal information. I've been told by people I've worked with that I'm the best at what I do of anyone they've ever worked with. Now there will be no one in charge of information security for VA.gov.
