I'm setting up an OD&D campaign for my kids and their friends. Since it's their first time playing D&D I'm leaving them complete freedom while making the characters, as long as they fit the rules. This has already yielded an uncharismatic elven muscle-mommy and a lawful thief with a battle axe. This is gonna be fun.

Daughter made her first OD&D character and promptly choose charisma as her dump stat, without me saying or suggesting anything about it. Some things never change.
