Today for #ThankYouTuesday, I want to thank @bsdtv@bsd.network - @bsdtv
When there are conferences, he is the heart and soul of the Video Team and he is thoughtful and considerate to ensure that everything goes as smoothly as possible. When there are no conferences, he is a positive and constructive figure for the entire community. A constant presence who, like the entire video team, is never thanked enough.

Working on free software is sometimes great because you find people that really care. Men and women that care for others, that weave social fabric, that altruistically share their time in benefits of others.
Stefano (like many others) gives his time as a gift for others to enjoy. He helped me make #snac what it is now.
If you had given up when my software was in its infancy, I would probably gave up and left it unfinished.
So, I dedicate my #ThankyouTuesday back to you, Stefano.

I've just received an email from one of my clients. The subject line is "À la Révolution!".
I immediately understood what he meant: a new jail, which he'll then manage with BastilleBSD.
Working with kind and smart people is a privilege to be grateful for.

Such a positive, present, truly human, and authentic individual! In my view, they are one of the people who make the Fediverse such a special place.

Evening Reflection: In just a few days, it will be BSD Cafe's second birthday. Two years ago, I never anticipated what would follow. What was once a dream - this kind of community - has transformed into a reality. I set the table, but the Cafe isn't just me; it's all of you.
It's the Fediverse, it's Matrix, it's a group of people who want to communicate, who want positivity, who want to grow, who have a passion and an interest. This morning, I announced the Journal, and the enthusiasm shown was comparable. And that, for me, was a gift.
Even though it's not yet Tuesday here, it already is in many places. While I might sound repetitive, I feel compelled to dedicate this #ThankYouTuesday to you all: friends of BSD Cafe (both in and outside the cafe), of the Fediverse, of Matrix, of every communication channel.
Because FREE communication channels are tools, and they are merely extensions of people.
Wonderful people, who make the world a little less bleak.
Thank you.

Dev just messaged me, alarmed: a WordPress plugin's tech support logged into his site and broke everything! 😱
But Dev is sharp, and even at 22:10, he remembered his server runs FreeBSD and ZFS. With snapshots of his site and database every 15 minutes, we rolled back to the 20:00 snapshot, and his site was back up in a flash!
