#FibreArts friends, I want to re-home this bundle of merino wool. I got it when I learned to spin and I've found I don't enjoy spinning merino all that much. Does anyone fancy it?
It's free to a good home for the cost of postage. I'm in the UK. Happy to post international. I'm happy to consider a trade too if that's more of interest.

Anyone have any thoughts on a good quality natural fibre sewing thread? I have some projects I'm working on and want to dye with Procion but don't want undyed poly thread showing up in the mix. Linen? Cotton? Sources? Possibly in Canada?

Thanks to #FinishOrFrogAlong, I was finally able to let go of this project that just wasn't calling to me anymore.
Nordic roots (Estonian, Germanic) -a culture of no waste and finishing what you start - can be helpful, but not always. This shawl had become a torment. Fun to plan, not fun to knit.
It's OK to frog. It's healthy to frog!

fibrefriends! i had the chance to briefly try splicing a rope this weekend and it was fabulous. ropes are apparently only complicated yarn and parts of splicing involves actual hand sewing! it felt so rewarding and familiar and it was all colorful plastics (okay that doesn't sound so appealing 😂). i never considered the two crafts to be related but i can definitely recommend trying it if you get the chance!
