But how does one "organize in communities and develop relationships with neighbors" when one has lost all trust in neighbors and feels betrayed by all the activist communities from before the pandemic?

The only option i see is in online communal care groups and i so wish to find one again.

I'm struggling so hard with being the only person I know irl who is still even remotely #CovidConscious #CovidCautious . I'm single, live alone, work remotely, and I'm getting weirder and lonelier and more cripplingly isolated by the day. Anyone else out there in this same scenario who has any tips for how you keep going?

(People with partners--especially who are also cautious--I'm genuinely happy for you, but leaving comments for me about how your great, supportive partner is what keeps you going ...they don't help me.)

Only for the second time since the start of the ongoing pandemic we need to allow a repair person into our apartment. This time it was urgent, the washing machine needs fixing. It has been malfunctioning for months, but we waited for the summer, when we can air the rooms for a long time after their visit. On the phone they agreed to wear a mask. But i bet it's gonna be a baggy blue that keeps sliding under their nose. I've had sleepless nights for a week.
