Quick PSA : yes, #Mozilla has been disappointing, but so far, they’re the only organization preventing Google to have a full control over web standards. Blink/WebKit-based browsers (Chromium, Vivaldi…) do NOT help at all in that regard.
So please use #Firefox or a #Gecko-based alternative ( #ZenBrowser, #LibreWolf…). Ride the nightly release train and report bugs if you can. #Servo is getting ready, but for the next ~5 years, Gecko is our only suitable option.

@jensimmons "there are now zero requirements for “installability” in Safari" - this is false statement. Still adding a web app to Home Screen on #iOS requires multiple clicks in menus and isn't intuitive. This is discriminating.
"Browser support started in November 2014, and Safari adopted in March 2018" - this summarizes how #Safari has long been lagging behind in supporting new features, e.g. #WebGPU has been supported in #Blink & #Gecko since 2023 and only now it's added to @webkit. So late!

Ayé, je viens de désinstaller #Firefox. 💔
Avec le petit message à #Mozilla.
« Vieux contributeur Mozilla, je ne pensais pas désinstaller un jour Firefox mais c’est fait ! Plutôt que de désactiver les fonctionnalités d’IA dont je n’avais aucun usage et qui augmentaient la consommation de mon PC, je suis passé à #ZenBrowser, qui s’avère être tout ce que j’attends de Firefox : rapide, respectueux de ma vie privée, avec une UI soignée — et le tout, basé sur Gecko, comme il se doit. »
Précision : remplacer #Firefox par #ZenBrowser, ça n’est pas vraiment quitter Firefox. On passe à un fork encore plus soucieux de nos vies privées, et débarrassé des fonctionnalités que personne n’a demandées, mais ça reste un #Gecko.
Par ailleurs, on garde le compte Firefox qui permet de sauvegarder ses cookies et mots de passe. Si l’aventure Zen devait s’arrêter, ou si Mozilla recouvrait la raison, on pourrait revenir à Firefox d’un clic.
Zen, c’est juste le meilleur de Firefox.
