@greger Very hard to find. Both @kagihq and @Mojeek have this feature called Lenses/Focus which I find very useful; allowing you to search a specific set of domains, like online encyclopedias, small independent sites like blogs, university websites only, etc.

If I know I'm looking for hard facts from reliable sources and not generic and bloated content writing for ad revenue, I use those options.

Any chance we will get an update to the great search engine map you made?

Also, curious — which social media channels do you see getting the most engagement these days? Hard to keep up with all the new ones like #threads and #bluesky etc.

@fdroidorg @strypey I sorry to ask (as user without having github experience or IT background): Can you fix it? I had Mojeek previously but this is not in the options anymore. Also Startpage Metager and all the others are gone. Its only google duckduck ecosia bing I can choose now. 😱

Not really sure what to use for search now. DDG doesn't support IPv6 as I discovered last week while working on an #IPv6 only network. Neither does #Mojeek (and their language support is limited to ascii-only languages - even entering "français" it will ask "did you mean francais?" (same for umlauts) and Russian and Ukrainian aren't indexed at all).

Google and Bing are the only ones I know with IPv6 support.

We seem to be getting driven off the web, folks.
