I found another Dice Waltz program, this time for the Atari ST (The Dice Waltz, by Chris Earnshaw). Its user interface is quirky, even by the standard of programs written in GfA BASIC. I couldn't get the soundchip output to record at the right speed, but it can generate MIDI files, so I overlaid that on a screenshot

Midi questions:
Midi is a serial connection and there exists a standard for sending it over TRS.
1. Do any phones support sending MIDI over the headphone jack or via a standard USB C to Headphone adaptor?
2. I assume midi over Bluetooth or midi over WiFi have some sort of documentation?
3. Is there an android app that will send midi in real time over the headphone jack or over Bluetooth or over WiFi (that I could use to play a busking organ)?
4. Can a phone with USB C be a usb host for a midi device, like can I plug my phone into a drum machine and output note-ons?

I dearly wish rather than people putting prompts in the slop generator to make far longer and pretty looking slop, they just sent the prompt itself.
Just send me "write a memo that says all employees need to fill out their expense reports by Tuesday, remember there's a federal holiday later this month, and good work on Project Phi."

I propose the SEAPAP: Simple Email AI Prompt Articulation Protocol. It details how to send a prompt from one email client to another such that the receiver can construct an email.
This makes for a very efficient means of transfer of intent, but like MIDI before it for sound, the final results will depend on the fidelity of the model installed on the receiver.
Most will rely on rendering, but some will simply read the "MIDI" itself and do their own thing.

If I wanted to do some #midi stuff in Rust, what should I look at?
Time to relax with some MIDI floppies. I hope I remembered to rewind them 😄

My tiny artist collective has its first "gallery" up (some items are still pending and will be up later)!

My contribution is a song made entirely out of modified whale noises, powered by Orca as a midi controller / visualization tool! (https://100r.co/site/orca.html)

Group is meeting this week to decide how we want to expand the group (whether to keep it local, how many invites we want to do at once, etc)
Our #Hackathon continued the next day.
We reconvened to review yesterday’s pilot data, polish it, and get it ready for analysis.

For guitar-based data, we needed to tackle mainly the abundant short notes – data noise occurring likely as a result of imperfect onboard #midi processing.
We managed to fix this with Midi transform functions in #LogicPro.
Accordion was already giving us usable data, so we only worked on separating the midi channels for trebles and basis.
(Kudos to Šimon Libřický, our Logic Pro Expert!)

Today is a big day for DOS emulation, now we have 100% authentic Sound Canvas (Roland SC-55) emulation in Staging via Nuked SC-55 🥳 🎉 🍻 🎊
Grab the latest dev build from here:
https://www.dosbox-staging.org/releases/development-builds/
Then follow the installation instructions from the PR below:
Search "manual testing" and follow the steps under "usage" (this will be more streamlined in the final; the plugin (without the ROM files) will be included in the distribution package)
